A first-level or higher degree in other fields with two additional years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. Work Experience           A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in law is required. The legal aspects of the UN working with the private sector, the legal and policy aspects of human resource management, the handling of audits and audit recommendations, legal analysis, research and writing. Languages English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in written and oral English is required. Knowledge of another UN official language is an advantage. ​
